When I married my in-laws wanted me to take over the boy and to move in with them. We lived together for five years. That was very difficult for me. I had to cook for the whole family even though I can't really cook. They were grateful and friendly ? especially my father-in-law. My mother-in-law interfered quite a lot in the upbringing of my stepson. He was an exceptionally lively child. It was difficult to raise him. But together we managed. I learned a lot through that. After five years we moved to Wörgl. My husband was back in the military. First he worked at the steel plant and then he returned to the military. He was posted in Wörgl. We stayed there for two years. For me those were the most wonderful years. We lived in a big house, with a ski slope in front of it. We could ski on this hill. It was a wonderful, quiet year. For the first time we could live as a married couple by ourselves. That was very nice. Then my husband was transferred to Salzburg. My daughter was born there. We spent 22 years in Salzburg. I liked living there very much, a city of music. Sometimes I went to the Salzburg Festival. If there were tickets left over, I sometimes bought one. I would leave the children by themselves. They were very good and took care of each other while I was at the festival hall I made some very good friends in Salzburg. But my husband was Tyrolean. When he retired he wanted to move back to Tyrol. All of a sudden, I had to abandon the piano lessons I was giving at the boy's high school in Salzburg. Overnight we packed everything and moved to Innsbruck in a hurry. He could hardly wait to get back to Innsbruck.
